The National Center for Geographic Information has undertaken to make its website accessible in accordance with the (Royal Decree 1112/2018), of September 7, on website accessibility and applications for public sector mobile devices.

  • El Royal Decree 1112/2018 establishes in its article 3.4, the causes of exclusion of application of said Royal Decree and among them, it is found in its letter D, the following:

    "Online mapping and cartography services, as long as the essential information is provided in a digitally accessible manner in the case of maps intended for navigation."
     

    Consequently, web applications and pages published from this website that include online mapping and cartography services are excluded from the scope of the Royal Decree 1112/2018.

If, once a request for accessible information or complaint has been made, it has been rejected, the decision adopted is not agreed, or the response does not meet the requirements set forth in article 12.5, the person concerned may initiate a claim . Likewise, a claim may be initiated in the event that the period of twenty business days has elapsed without having obtained a response.

The claim procedure included in article 13 of the Royal Decree 1112/2018 entered into force on September 20, 2020.
