4) Publishing in a Catalogue (own or external)

Metadata files must be published and accessible through a discovery service, a catalogue. They can be published directly in the national catalogue by contacting us, or published in the regional or local catalogue. Through the CSW discovery service of each of the SDIs, they are transferred to the IDEE catalogues:

• IDEE Catalogue: Lists all resources from the IDEE nodes.
• INSPIRE Official Data and Services Catalogue (CODSI): Displays the subset of IDEE resources that are published in the European catalogue.

4.1 How to Create a Discovery Service

To create a discovery service, you should refer to the Technical Guidance for the implementation of INSPIRE Discovery Services, which set the criteria for implementing the Catalogue Services Specification 2.0.2 - ISO Metadata Application Profile for CSW 2.0 service.
