The API-IDEE is a platform for developing web map viewers based on open technologies such as OpenLayers and CesiumJS for two-dimensional and three-dimensional environments, respectively. Its goal is to provide a common, flexible, and extensible solution for visualizing geographic information on web clients.

API-IDEE originated from a fork of the API-CNIG of the IGN/CNIG, combined with the merger of Mapea, the reference API of the Regional Government of Andalusia.

The main objectives of API-IDEE are:

• Facilitate the creation of customized map viewers without the need for advanced programming knowledge.
• Promote interoperability through the use of OGC standards (WMS, WMTS, WFS, KML, etc.).
• Encourage institutional collaboration in the development of geospatial tools.
• Provide a modern user experience adaptable to different devices.
