COSMO-IDEE

The development of Cosmo-IDEE is not driven by a single organization, but by a collaborative model coordinated through a Technical Working Group, “Desarrollos IDEE”, within CODIIGE. This space brings together several public administrations working in coordination to define development lines, establish common technical criteria, and ensure interoperability of solutions. All of this follows an open governance model aligned with open-source principles and institutional cooperation. The participating organizations include: the National Geographic Information Center (CNIG), the Regional Government of Andalusia, the Regional Government of Extremadura, the Barcelona Metropolitan Area, and more recently, the City Council of Cáceres.

Technologies that make up Cosmo-IDEE

API IDEE

A web-based cartographic viewer development platform built on open technologies such as OpenLayers and CesiumJS. Its goal is to provide a common, flexible, and extensible solution for visualizing geospatial information on the web.

DATA IDEE

DATA IDEE

A tool for working with data stored in proprietary databases, enabling the publication, editing, and maintenance of geospatial layers. It is a server that provides functionality for reading, inserting, updating, and deleting geographic objects and layers or tables from multiple data sources through OpenAPI-based endpoints. It consists of both a server-side and a client-side component.

SUITE IDEE

SUITE IDEE

A solution that facilitates the creation and management of web viewers using API IDEE, accessible to both technical and non-technical users. This module enables the generation of viewers through guided assistants, helping non-developers configure the visualization tools they need.

IA IDEE

IA IDEE

The vast amount of geospatial information generated by public administrations is often difficult to access for users without GIS expertise. IA IDEE connects generative artificial intelligence with OGC-standard geoservices, turning existing geospatial infrastructure into a system that can be queried in natural language, without requiring knowledge of data structures or access protocols.

GEOCODER-IDEE/SCNE

A geocoding service based on official data sources, fully integrable into any application within the ecosystem. It includes services for standardization, forward and reverse geocoding, predictive search, batch geocoding, result filtering, and access control for usage analytics.
